An overhead photograph of Battleship Row, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, Dec. 7, 1941. Taken from a Japanese aircraft during the horizontal bombing attack, the photograph shows the USS Arizona (2nd from left, closest to Ford Island) taking a bomb hit on the starboard side of her stern. Up Battleship Row from the repair vessel USS Vestal moored outboard of the USS Arizona, the next two outboard battleships are the USS West Virginia and USS Oklahoma (listing heavily to port). Both are hemorrhaging fuel oil from their bunkers due to numerous Japanese torpedo hits.
