One of the more famous photographs of a U.S. Army Airborne Paratrooper boarding his C-47 for the jump into Normandy. Who he is remains a mystery to this day, as there are conflicting claims to his identity. Nonetheless, the photograph depicts just how heavily loaded the paratroopers were when they jumped on D-Day.
