Unloading of invasion
supplies continues as the post-invasion clean-up begins on the sands of Omaha Beach
shortly after D-Day. LSTs, barrage balloons, and vehicles fill the scene as the
waters of the English Channel near the high-tide mark at Omaha. German beach obstacles have been
gathered near the shoreline, while jeeps and deuce-and-a-halfs congregate in
the foreground.
